Ali Ndume Removed As Senate Majority Leader

Abuja, (AN24) – The crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), took a new twist on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, as the party caucus in the Senate removed the Senate Leader, Ali Ndume (Borno South).

In a letter which was sent to the Nigerian Senate on Tuesday, the APC caucus forwarded the name of Senator Ahmed Lawal (Yobe North) as the new Senate Leader.

According to the APC caucus, the decision to remove Ndume as Senate leader was arrived at during the party’s caucus’ meeting on Monday, 9th January, 2017.
