Lokoja, (An24)- A former Acting Governor of Kogi State and a chieftain of the APC, Chief Clarence Olafemi, has predicted the fall of both the governing APC and the opposition PDP before the 2019 general elections.

Olafemi, in an interview with journalists in Lokoja, yesterday, maintained that the APC and the PDP would be heading to the rocks if the lingering crises bedevilling them were not resolved.

“Having seen both the inside and outside of both parties at one time or the other, I make bold to say that both of them would break before the next general elections in 2019,” he said.

He expressed happiness with the registration of five new political parties by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), saying it would afford prospective aspirants opportunity to make choices in future elections.

On the political crisis in Kogi State, Olafemi advised Governor Yahaya Bello to bring all the warring factions in the state to a round table and iron out their differences.

He said the recent move to recall Senator Dino Melaye would not be the best option out of the lingering political impasse.
