A 49-year old man, Garba Tukura, has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command Garba Tukura, for allegedly murdering his neighbor, a certain Musa Wassa.
Garba, who resides in Zazzaga Village in the Munya Local Government Area of Niger State, allegedly killed got into a heated argument with 65-year-old Wassa, an argument that led to his death.
Public Relations Officer for the police command, Peter Sunday, speaking about the incident said Tukura, flogged Wassa with an engine belt during the argument.
Wassa slumped and was rushed to a hospital but was discovered to be comatose upon getting to the hospital, where he later died.
Sunday continued saying immediately the incident was reported at the station, officers attached to the Sarkin Pawa division of the command arrested Tukura who has since confessed to the crime.
The police spokesperson also confirmed to Northern City News that Tukura had been charged to court.
