Osun 2018: Demola Adeleke, Ogunbiyi, Two Others To Participate in PDP Primaries

To allow for the aspiration of Senator Ademola Adeleke to fly, a frontline gubernatorial aspirants in the September 22 governorship contest under the platform of Peoples democratic party (PDP), Akogun Lere Oyewumi has stepped down.

Dr. Oyewumi, made the announcement on Thursday at an enlarged meeting of his campaign organization.

Oyewumi therefore endorsed the governorship ambition of Senator Adeleke.He said he made the decision in the overall interest of the party.

The meeting also had in attendance Senator Ademola Adeleke, Dr. Deji Adeleke, Chief SB Babalola, Hon. Niyi Owolade, and other members of the Adeleke group.

Earlier in the day, Senator Olasunkanmi Akinlabi also stepped down for another aspirant, Akin Ogunbiyi.

Akinlabi urged all his supporters to vote Ogundiyi during Saturday’s primary election of the party.

With the latest develepment, four aspirants; Senator Demola Adeleke, Akin Ogunbiyi, Fatai Akinbade and Hon Adejare Bello will participate in the primary election slated for Saturday.
