BREAKING: At Last, Obasanjo Endorses Atiku For President

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has endorsed ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 presidential election.

Obasanjo endorsed Abubakar at the ongoing meeting held at the residence of the ex-president within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, Ogun state, southwest Nigeria.

Africa News 24 reports that Abubakar, who served as Obasanjo’s deputy between 1999 and 2007, is the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The former Vice President visited Obasanjo in Abeokuta on Thursday in the company of his campaign Director-General and former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, and Senator Murray Ben-Bruce, ex Cross River Governor, Liyel Imoke, ex-Minister Osita Chidoka.

Also at the meeting, the leader of Afenifere Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Minister Bishop David Oyedepo, Outspoken clerics, Bishop Mattew Kukah and Sheikh Ahmed Gumi.
