December Deadline: Troops Clear More Terrorists’ Camps, Rescue 31



In a bid to meet up with the December deadline for Boko Haram Insurgency, the Nigeria Soldiers have been destroying the sects camps located in Sambisa Forest and other hide outs.

In a statement by the Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, said Troops fighting the Boko Haram insurgents in the Bama axis of Borno State have cleared the camps of the terrorists in the Aulari general area located within the Sambisa forest. The camps located within the area that includes Faldan, Kidiziromari, Kuroshini, Kurumari and Ngulda were cleared.

‘The troops Rescued 31 persons while a terrorist who tried to escape was killed’.

Items which includes several bicycles and motorcycles, a wooden rifle used for training and practice were recovered from the terrorist camp while farm produce in sacks and underground facilities were destroyed.

However, all known routes have also been blocked to prevent them transporting livestock across borders, the statement added.
