Marvin first lady, Tiwa Savage in a brief chat with Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi of Beat FM on her popular evening show, said that YBNL singer, Lil Kesh deserved the Next Rated award at the Headies 2015 more than her record label mate, Reekado Banks.
Tiwa Savage for the first time aired her thoughts on the ‘Next Rated’ award that was given to Reekado Banks of Supreme Marvin Dynasty.
The win that stirred up controversies between Mavin Boss, Don Jazzy, and YBNL boss, Olamide, during and after the event about who truly deserve the merit on social media had comments from several artistes and fans.
Tiwa, who is on a radio tour stopped by Beat Fm yesterday evening on Gbemi Olateru’s show to premiere her 16 tracks new album ‘RED’. When asked about who should have gone home with the Next Rated award, Tiwa said “I believe Lil Kesh deserve the award because he worked so hard last year and all his songs are making waves both local and international”.
It can be recalled that Reekado Banks also revealed in an interview with HipTv weeks before the award that Lil Kesh is the main man, rooting for him to win the “Next Rated” category, but came as a shock to everyone as Reekado Banks was announced by Bovi as the winner.
The dust has since been settled as Tiwa Savage dropped the video of “Standing Ovation” from her RED album which features YBNL boss, Olamide.
