Yahoo Boy No Laptop(YBNL) founded by indigenous rapper, Olamide Adedeji popularly known as Olamide is on the search for the record label first female artiste.
The successful record label comprises of male artistes doing great in the entertainment industry which includes Olamide, Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Victoh, Chinko Ekun and Nino.
After series of critics from music lovers and activists on the status of the record label discriminating female acts, the rapper is re-branding and taking a new twist by signing a female artiste which will represent the label’s first lady as they have it in other record label.
It can be recall during the Headies 2015 beef that broke out earlier this year between Don Jazzy and YBNL boss, Olamide, where he revealed his plans to sign Di’ja.
Olamide in one of his tweets allegedly put a call across to Di’ja of the Supreme Mavins Dynasty record label manager to process her signing documents but Don Jazzy foiled the plans.
The award wining rapper took to social media yesterday night to announce the search to his fans in a tweet and he gave out conditions to which the first lady would be signed.
According to him, the YBNL first lady must be multi-talented and should be vocal like Nigerian French Singer, Asa and Dej Loaf.
Few minutes after the announcement, upcoming female rappers and singers replied Olamide’s tweet urging him to sign them into his record label.
Concerned fans also suggested few female rappers in the entertainment industry for him on social media. Mz Kiss, a rapper and songwriter signed to Capital Hill Music owned by Ill Bliss seems to be fans favorite as her line of music tallies with Olamide.
The search is on, Olamide is now ready to have a first lady who will eventually open doors for other women in his YBNL label.
