Mourinho ‘Writes 6-Page Letter’ To Manchester United Begging For Coaching Job

By Philips Sunday

Former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has written a six-page letter to Manchester United, outlining the instant improvement he will bring to the squad, should he be given the chance to manage the club.

The Special One as he is fondly called, is said to have explained in the letter how he would be prepared to adapt his style of management to suit the demands at Old Trafford, and how he would seek to overhaul the squad.

Following the defeat to Southampton on Saturday, it is believed that Mourinho’s representative Jorge Mendes, contacted the Manchester United hierarchies about the possibility of his client becoming the next manager at old Trafford but some of the club hierarchies remain reluctant in appointing Jose, as they stated numerous reasons why the former Chelsea boss isn’t the right man for the job.

Some of the reasons are thought to range from Mourinho’s regular controversies, his style of football and his failure to nurture young talent.

This led the Portuguese  to pen a six-page letter to the club in a desperate attempt to land the dream job he has been waiting for since he was fired by Chelsea last year December following a poor run of form which saw the club dropped to 16th position on the EPL log.

According to Independent, in the letter, Mourinho also presented a forensic analysis of this season’s team, as he went through every area of the current squad, offering extensive thoughts on what could be improved as well as making suggestion about signings that could help strengthen the squad.

However, it is believed that the Special One is now relaxed as he feels the depth of his approach will finally prove persuasive in getting the job he was approached for a decade ago.

Meanwhile his agent Jorge Mendes has debunked the rumour, describing it as ‘absurd’.

“It does not occur to anyone that a coach like Jose Mourinho can write letters to clubs offering their services, it is absolutely ridiculous and totally absurd.” Mendes said.
