Everton, (an24) – Everton football club have officially sacked manager, Roberto Martinez after three years at the Toffees, Sky Sources report.
The Toffees season has gone from bad to worst after Martinez managed to win just one game in his last nine in all competitions in charge, including an embarrassing 4-0 humbling at the hands of Merseyside rivals Liverpool at Anfield.
It became glaring that the Spaniard will be sacked after Everton were disgraced by relegation threatening side Sunderland football club on Wednesday, which led to the black cat escaping the drop zone.
It would be recalled that the Toffees fans had turned against Mr. Martinez in the last few months, although he did lead them to two domestic cup semi-finals this season, Everton’s performances in the league were nothing to write home about.
Following Martinez sacking, Frank De Boer, who left his post as Ajax manager on Wednesday is tipped to be the favourite to succeed the Spaniard at Goodison Park.
