Nigerian soldiers Saturday morning invaded Oporoza the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government of Delta State.
I could not be immediately ascertained what their mission in the area is but hundreds of indegenes are seen on the streets in what appears like a protest against incessant invasion of the community by soldiers.
They called on the government to stop the intimidation by security agents.
The Ibe-Benemowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom and acting Secretary of the Gbaramatu Traditional Council, GTC, Chief Godspower Gbenekama, confirmed to Vanguard on phone that soldiers entered Oporoza this morning.
This is not the first time that soldiers have been deployed to the area to maintain the peace but this morning invasion leaves many of the residents wondering since there is no uprising in the area.
