United States, (AN24) – United States President, Donald J Trump will have a telephone conversation with President Muhammadu Buhari at 3:45pm today, Monday, February 13.
President Trump’s decision to speak with President Buhari was disclosed on micro blogging site, Twitter by Geoffrey York, Africa correspondent for The Globe and Mail.
According to York, today (Monday) is ‘Africa Day’ for Donald Trump and the United States President will be speaking with two African presidents – Buhari of Nigeria and Jacob Zuma of South Africa.
“Today is “Africa day” for Donald Trump. He speaks by phone to Nigerian president Buhari at 3:45 pm (Lagos time); then speaks to Jacob Zuma.
“This phone call would be at 9:45 am today in Washington, which is 3:45 pm in Nigeria and 2:45 pm in London. York tweeted.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari departed the country on January 19 for a medical vacation and was scheduled to return February 5, but sent a letter to the Senate requesting for an indefinite extension of his vacation.
Meanwhile, Trump’s proposed telephone call with Buhari is expected to put the death rumour pegged on the President to bed.
