Abuja, (An24) – Some youth group of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has charged the Federal Government to allow Ekiti state Governor Ayodele Fayose and Nyesom Wike of Rivers state to visit President Muhammad Buhari in London.
The group in a tweet on its official twitter handle said members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, visiting the President who is on a medical vacation in London was not the right of the party alone.
The development came barely 24 hours after the visit of a delegation from the National Assembly led by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to Abuja House in London to see Buhari.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, had disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari is hale, hearty and there is no cause for alarm whatsoever.
He said the meeting was successful and the president was in good health.
“Myself, Rt Honorable Speaker Yakubu Dogara and leader of Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan paid a visit to President Buhari in Abuja House in London. We were delighted to see that President Buhari is doing well, was cheerful and in good spirits.”
“The president’s absence and imminent return shows that there is no vacuum in government and our system of democracy is working with all organs of government fulfilling their mandate.
“And let me use the time tested cliché, there is no cause for alarm! The president I saw today is healthy, witty and himself,” Mr. Saraki said.
The statement endorsed by the group’s national coordinator, Austin Okai, said the President’s health is not the internal affairs of the APC alone.
It read in part: “Buhari’s health is not the APC internal affairs alone therefore, PDP youths recommend that Fayose and Wike should also visit him in London.”
