We Don’t Need Your Advice, APC Tells Mimiko, PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has asked the immediate past Governor of the State, Dr.  Olusegun  Mimiko  and  the  leadership  of  the  People’s  Democratic  Party  (PDP)  in  the  State  to  keep  their  mouth  shut  and  sealed,  while  they  watch  and  learn  from  the  Akeredolu  led-government  in  the  state.  Contrary  to  what  played  out  during  the  last  administration,  APC/Akeredolu’s  is  poised  to  steer  the  State’s  affairs  in  the  right  direction  and  also  deliver  the  true  dividend  of  democracy  to  the  good  people  of  Ondo  state.

In  a  statement  by  the  APC  Publicist,  Omo’ba  Abayomi  Adesanya, on Wednesday said, “The leadership of PDP at all levels should be ashamed of themselves, most especially in Ondo StateMimiko/PDP ruled Ondo State for eight (8) years with impunity and corruption, leaving behind a whooping debt profile of about  N150 billion, eight (8) months unpaid salaries  of  workers  and  several  months  of  unpaid  allowances and  gratuity  of  pensioners.  What morals  justification  has  Ondo-PDP leadership  and Mimiko  to  advise APC/Akeredolu’s  government?”

We  viewed  your  advice  as  anti– developmental,  and  evil  against  the  people  of  the  State.  It’s  a  clear  attempt  to  derail  our  government  so  as  to  create  bottleneck  and  distraction  for  Akeredolu.  The  former  government  has  no  useful  ingredient  at  its  disposal  to  compliment  this  current  administration”.

Adesanya  appealed  to  the  people  of  the  State  to  remain  calm,  patient  and  hopeful,  as  APC/Akeredolu  fulfill  all  electoral  promises.  This  government  will  keep  to  prompt  payment  of  workers’  salary,  jobs creation through industrialization and  agricultural  evolution,  peace  and  stability,  and  creation  of  Local  Government  Council  Development  Areas  (LCDA)  in  the  state,  the  statement  reads.
