London, (AN24) – President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari will on Friday, March 10, return to the country from his base in London, United Kingdom.
This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
The statement reads: “President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to return to the country tomorrow, Friday, March 10, 2017.
“The President left the country on January 19, 2017, for a vacation, during which he had routine medical check-ups. The holiday was extended based on doctors’ recommendation for further tests and rest.
“President Buhari expresses appreciation to teeming Nigerians from across the country, and beyond, who had prayed fervently for him, and also sent their good wishes.” The statement added.
Recall that President Buhari had on Thursday, January 19, embarked on a 10 days vacation in London.
The President was however expected back in the country on February 5 and to resume work on Monday, February 6, only to write the National Assembly seeking for an extension indefinitely.
Meanwhile, the President is expected to land at the Kaduna International Airport tomorrow following the closure of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
