Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, on Friday finally met with President Muhammadu Buhari after his memo to the president over the affairs of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, leaked to the public.
The minister who arrived the Presidential Villa around 11.40am for the meeting, kept mum as State House correspondents attempted to find out about outcome of his meeting with the President .
He left the Villa at about 12.50pm.
Kachikwu’s meeting is coming after he accused Baru of awarding contracts worth over $25 billion without the approval of the board of the corporation in a letter to the President.
The letter entitled: RE: Matters of Insubordination and lack of adherence to due process perpetuated by GMD NNPC, Dr. Baru, dated August 30, 2017, and directed to the President, Kachikwu alleged that Baru had been sidelining the NNPC board.
