Court Remands man For Allegedly Stealing Bird
An Asaba Magistrates’ Court in Delta on Wednesday remanded one James Nwaite accused of stealing 182 birds, in Ogwashi-Uku Prison, pending the advice by the Director of Public Prosecution.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Okonkwo Akanume, adjourned the case till February 21.

An Asaba Magistrates’ Court in Delta on Wednesday remanded one James Nwaite accused of stealing 182 birds, in Ogwashi-Uku Prison, pending the advice by the Director of Public Prosecution.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Okonkwo Akanume, adjourned the case till February 21.
Nwaite, 42, was arraigned before the court on a count of stealing and his plea was not taken.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Mr. Samuel Ndukwe, told the court that the accused stole 182 birds worth N1, 920, 000, property of Mr. Osagbe Steve.
He said that the accused committed the offence on January 6 at Osagbe Farms Asaba.
He said that the offence contravened Sections 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap. C21 Vol. 1 Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.
NAN and his plea was not taken.
