Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday signed the 2019 appropriation bill of N873.5bn into law.

An unannounced visit by the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu to Lagos State Development and Property Company, LSDPC threw the entire organization into a momentary frenzy.

Sanwo-Olu left LSDPC in early September 2018 as Managing Director, his last place of work before expressing interest to run for the State Governorship position.

The staff of the company came out in their numbers to receive Sanwo-Olu and his team with wild jubilation, victory songs and prayers.

In his short speech, the APC governorship candidate apologized to the numerous workers for not informing them before leaving the company, saying that the dynamic nature of politics could alter any arrangements in the last minute. He, however, promised to come back for a proper get together with the staff, who he described as members of his family.

‘’I can assure you that I’d come back here for a proper meeting. This is impromptu. We shall have a session where all of us will interact.’’ Sanwo-Olu said.

Advising the teeming staff of the State’s property and development company, the former Managing Director reminded them of what he used to say about the need for diligence in at work. He charged them to remain committed and dedicated to service.

‘’Like I always say to you when I was here; do what you need to do at the right time. Time waits for nobody. What is happening to me should be a good example to many of you. Diligence is key in whatever we do.’’ Sanwo-Olu said.

Interjecting Sanwo-Olu at every point during his speech, the very excited and happy staff prayed for Sanwo-Olu’s victory in the governorship race slated for February 2019. They also promised to become his voluntary vote canvassers, starting with the house to house campaign in their respective places of abode.
