Govt. Officials, Labour In Closed-Door Meeting Over Minimum Wage

Members of the tripartite committee set up to come up with a new national minimum wage for the nation are currently meeting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Africa News 24 learned that the meeting is holding in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha.

Present at the meeting are officials of the Federal Government, representatives of the organised private sector and representatives of labour unions.

At the meeting today, members of the committee are expected to sign the final report and thereafter forward it to the SGF for onward transmission to President Muhammadu Buhari.
