The Super Eagles, Nigeria’s Senior men football team have qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Coach Genort Rohr tutored side achieved this feat after playing a 1-1 draw with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Saturday, November 17.
Buhle Mkhwanazi scored an own goal to give the Super Eagles a 1-0 lead before Lebo Mothiba equalized on the 26th minutes to end the first half 1-1.
The Super Eagles took the lead in the second half through Ahmed Musa’s goal but the goal was cancelled as the forward was caught offside.
The win means the Supers Eagles have qualified for the football fiesta next year while the Bafana Bafana will have to beat or play a draw with Libya who defeated Seychelles 1-8 today to join the Super Eagles in next year’s Nations cup.
