The convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, has been released on bail by a Magistrate Court sitting in Kano State, northern Nigeria.
AN24 learned that Adeyanju was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 and two sureties. He was also ordered by the court to deposit his international passport.
Oluyemi Fasipe, one of Adeyanju’s allies, confirmed the bail on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, saying: “BREAKING: Deji @adeyanjudeji has been granted bail”.

Adeyanju, a former Director of New Media of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was remanded in a Kano prison after he was rearrested and charged for culpable homicide by the Nigeria Police Force, over a case said to have been decided upon by the Kano State High Court in 2009.
AN24 understands that Adeyanju had spent 63 days in prison before his release was granted on Monday, February 18 by the court.
