Bode Ayorinde, a member representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency Ondo State at the House of Representatives has said that he was robbed at the last National Assembly election.
Ayorinde, who contested under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for reelection, lost the election to Timilehin Adelegbe, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He claimed to have won the election, but added that he did not challenge the electoral process at the tribunal for peace sake.
“I did not lose any election, I was robbed. But because I am a man of peace, I decided to let sleeping dogs lie,” said Ayorinde.
“So, having been robbed of an election, I must continue to do good for those people, who voted for me in this federal constituency.
“After the election, we will still go ahead to execute our zonal intervention projects. We renovated schools we have installed transformers in some communities and done some other projects for my people.”
Ayorinde promised to continue affecting lives positively, despite losing reelection.
