Africa News24 (AN24) reports that the fire, which reportedly started around 2 pm, raged for about an hour before it was put off by officials of the fire service and airport.
It was gathered that the incident left passengers fleeing in different directions.
Speaking on the incident, the general manager, corporate affairs, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Henrietta Yakubu, said normal operations had since resumed at the airport.
Meanwhile, it is not clear what caused the incident but there are unconfirmed reports that electrical spark triggered the fire.
