Fire Guts Sam Mbakwe Airport In Imo (Video/Photos)

Fire gut the VIP lounge of Sam Mbakwe international airport in Owerri, Imo state, southeast Nigeria on Monday, April 8.

It was gathered that the incident left passengers fleeing in different directions.

Speaking on the incident, the general manager, corporate affairs, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Henrietta Yakubu, said normal operations had since resumed at the airport.Fire Guts Sam Mbakwe Airport In Imo (Video/Photos)

Meanwhile, it is not clear what caused the incident but there are unconfirmed reports that electrical spark triggered the fire.
