Users of a microblog ‘Twitter’ have begun to lash former president of the united states for wrongly calling those who were involved in the Sri Lanka bombing ‘Easter Worshippers’ instead of Christian.
Africa News24 reported earlier that over 290 person were murdered during the explosion that hit the Asian nation on Sunday.
This online news platform captured some reactions to Obama’s statement:
The people killed in Sri Lanka weren’t Easter worshippers they were Christians. You have no problem staying other faiths. The Christians who were killed senselessly are heroes. Please show some respect for them. Christians they were Christians. Followers of Christ pic.twitter.com/EMDGSlFVBy

We are Christians and not Easter worshippers, we celebrate Easter we don’t worship it. I know that you know this but you just chose to disrespect a religion because you don’t believe in it. The shame is on you sir. pic.twitter.com/808jVeSpzJ

Our leading broadcasters have seemed unable to utter the word “Christian” in regard either to Notre Dame or the Sri Lankan murders. Bizarre.
