Ribadu Represents Buhari In Today’s Election Tribunal Sitting

The pioneer Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu represented President Muhammadu Buhari in the Presidential Election tribunal sitting today

Africa News24 (AN24) reports that Ribadu who arrived the Tuesday’s proceedings in Abuja made this announcement when the matter slated for the day, the petition filed by Hope Democratic Party and its candidate, Ambrose Awuru, was called.

This online news platform understands that Ribadu is a top member of the Adamawa chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The ruling party was represented by Dare Oketade, who identified himself as the party’s head of legal services.

On the other hand, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was represented by its Director, Legal Services, Oluwatoyin Babalola, Punch reports.

AN24 reports that Wole Olanipekun (SAN), led Buhari’s legal team while Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) led APC’s team of lawyers.

There are three other petitions filed by other political parties, including the major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, led the five-man bench of the tribunal.
