Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday signed the 2019 appropriation bill of N873.5bn into law.
Africa News24 (AN24) understands that the state Governor also signed three other bills into law alongside the 2019 appropriation bill. This is coming over one month in which the Lagos State House of Assembly passed the bill presented to it by former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode in February 2019.
The budget proposal of N852bn was submitted to the State House of Assembly on February 5, 2019 by former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode but it was increased by N21bn by the lawmakers.
The breakdown of the budget shows a Capital Expenditure of N479,691,073,705, and Recurrent Expenditure of N393,841,387,020.00.
While signing the budget Sanwo-Olu said his administration will it is implemented to better the lots of people of the state.
