#8thSenateValedictory: How Senator Akpabio, Others Diverted N1.127 Billion
Tracka.ng a nongovernmental organization that monitors government project implementation has uncovered how Senator Godswill Akpabio, a Senator and former Akwa-Ibom state governor received 70% from funds worth N1.127 billion through the MDAs in 2018 as constituency projects with no update till the moment of disseminating this information.
The NGO said, Akpabio inserted the sum in the 2018 budget and has collected 70% of the money with no trace of any project for his constituency.
The organization has challenged Akpabio to show the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial district the locations and implementation status of the projects.
In the same vein, the nongovernmental organization revealed how outgoing Senator Olusola Adeyeye of Osun Central is yet to give an account of over N1 Billion constituency project till date.
Further stating that public funds must work for the people.
