Senator Ovie Omo Agege has emerged Deputy President of the 9th Senate, defeating former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu (PDP Enugu West) with 68 votes.

Senator Ovie Omo Agege has emerged Deputy President of the 9th Senate, defeating former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu (PDP Enugu West) with 68 votes.

Africa News24 (An24) understands that a total of 105 votes were casted, while one vote was voided.

Meanwhile, Ekweremadu’s nomination was made by Senator Chukwuka Utazi and seconded by Senator Rose Oko for the motion
