The Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano today inspected road project within the College of Nursing Science, Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government Area of the State.
The health services providing and training school is owned by the Anglican Diocese of Amichi, and the road project was executed by the state government.
The project inspection was to ensure that the contractor did a quality job and according to standard specification. This is part of present administration’s resolve to fulfill all promises made to Ndi Anambra during and after campaign activities so as to restore the people’s confidence and faith, that the APGA-led government in the state is strictly people-oriented.
Gov Obiano expressed satisfaction on the speed and quality of work done and assured the Diocese and people of the community of his continuous support towards enhancing the standard of living of citizens.
He was conducted round the project site by the contractor, the Bishop and stakeholders of the area.
The governor used the opportunity of the inspection exercise to donate a 22-seater Coaster bus to the College of Nursing and promised to rehabilitate more other facilities there.
The Anglican Bishop of Amichi, His Lordship Rt Rev Ephraim Ikeakor and the former Commissioner of Information and member Board of Trustees(BoT) of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA), Chief Maja Umeh, expressed gratitude to the governor over the projects and other support being given to the church and community, and assured him of their continued prayerful support to ensure the success of his administration.
The event was also attended by the Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi South Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Chieloka Okoye, Hon. Kingsley Iruba -Member Representing, Nnewi South constituency in the State Assembly, and many other important dignitaries.
