Hamisu Wadume, a Kidnap Kingpin in Taraba State, northern Nigeria, has been rearrested by officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
He was re-arrested in the late hours of yesterday, 19th August, 2019 in his hideout at Layin Mai Allo Hotoro area of Kano State.
Africa News24 (AN24) understands the Police had been on the massive manhunt for the suspect since 6th August, 2019 following the unfortunate incident in Ibi, Taraba State which resulted in the brutal murder of three Police Officers and two civilians, and injury to five others.
The report noted that the Taraba ‘Kidnap Kingpin’ was sighted at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Apparently displeased with the action of the army, the Nigeria police engaged its sister security agency in a Twitter war as well as nationwide anxiety, prompting President Muhammadu Buhari to order an investigation.
