Kano APC Suspends Jibrin For Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna  has  on  Friday upturned  the  result of the election in which former  chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, Abdulmumin Jibrin was declared winner.

The court consequently ordered  a fresh election into the Kiru/Bebeji Constituency Federal Constituency seat in Kano State, occupied by JIbrin.

The  petition of  the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Aliyu Datti Yako who challenged the victory of Jibrin in the February 2019 legislative election did not succeed at the election tribunal so he had to appeal the judgement.

Delivering the  lead  judgement  at the appellate court, Justice Ajoke Adepoju said the results in the two local governments of Kiru and Bebeji  were not valid  because  Form EC (8) E  containing them were  mutilated.
