Google Business Group Set To Host Entrepreneurs, Business Executives



Google Business Group (GBG) Yaba is set to organise the largest gathering of Small and Medium Scale Entreprise owners, business executives, business developers  in Yaba, Lagos State.

The association is an independent community-led group formed by passionate business professionals and company owners who share knowledge about Google products and web technologies for local business success.

The event is an annual “Festival of Businesses” organised in 35 countries across 63 cities of the world where there are GBG communities.

In a statement issued by the group, one of the organisers, Mr. Afolayan Daniel, said, “The GBG Yaba Bizfest is expected to have about 400 startup owners, business professionals and enthusiasts who want to get informed about how they build and grow their business with the latest tech tools and platforms available”.

He said the event will hold on Saturday 9th November, 2019 at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, 6 Edmund close, Yaba, and is expected to focus on technology tools and tips that can  catalyse business growth with workshops on Android for business owners.

He said the participants will also be given the opportunity to gain business insights  from speakers such as the head of Start-up Success For Google in Nigeria, Fola Olatunji-David;  CEO, Techpoint Africa, Adewale Yusuf; CEO, Wild Fusions, Abasiama Idaresit, and other young business leaders.

“To make the event interactive,there will be a design thinking session where entrepreneurs will learn how to design practical and innovative solution-driven products and services using human-centred, iterative processes.

“This kind of event is very apt for Yaba because it is the hup of the startup ecosystem in Nigeria. Like you know it is called ‘the Yabacon valley,’Nigeria’s version of Silicon Valley. So it will be of great benefit to the startup owners and entrepreneurs in Yaba and environs,” he said.
