The management of current Nigerian Premier Football League champions Enyimba  has on  Monday announced the sacking  of  the head coach, Usman Abd’allah.

The club said it had to do this because of the string of disappointing results it had had recently.  The club sacked  Abd’allh  less than 24hrs after the  team lost to  Plateau United by 4-0 on Sunday.

A  statement signed by the club said, “After a string of disappointing results the club believes it must set a new course now and regain its competitive edge, domestically and on the continent,” the statement read.

The club further said, “Results and performances since the start of this season have been very unimpressive and the club must take action to forestall further setbacks.

“We are speaking to the players too and they must do better otherwise there will be consequences. As Enyimba we are committed to earning positive results always and we can’t accept nothing less.”
