RnB legend, Akon, is set to build a new city in his home country of Senegal.
The global superstar took to Twitter to make the announcement as he confirmed that he had signed the necessary agreements for the project to happen.
He tweeted via is official handle @Akon: “Just finalized the agreement for AKON CITY in Senegal. Looking forward to hosting you there in the future.”
The proposed city would have an airport, solar powered electricity system and an Akoin cryptocurrency as a means of exchange.
Akon is worth $80million dollars according to a Forbes 2019 report, and undoubtedly the richest professional artiste on the African continent.
The veteran claimed to have signed Wizkid and Davido to professional deals in America, before going on to work with thw defunct P Square duo, but everything fell apart due to lack of paperwork.
He was recently called out by Nigerian rapper MI for referring to Wizkid as his boy.
