The Train-The-Trainers Programme of CodeLagos kicked off on Monday with Master Trainers Onboarding sessions.
The sessions which held at the Herbert Macaulay Library, Yaba, and State Junior School, Ipaja had about 100 Facilitators taken through the basics and fundamentals of coding to prepare them ahead of the coding classes across Lagos State primary and secondary schools.
The programme is in line with the dream of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu administration to leverage technology and internet connectivity to deliver quality education to pupils in public schools. This is to keep up with with goals 4, 9, and 10 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The sessions which were anchored by the Delivery Partners, provided an opportunity for new facilitators to get familiar with programming language and teaching techniques for coding.
While addressing newsmen, Mr Adedipo Olagbegi of Spark IT Bootcamp, the official Training Partner for CodeLagos, noted that the Code Lagos In – School programme is meant to prepare Lagos State students to meet new workforce demands, harness the benefits of technology, and be able to communicate in the language of the future.
