Leader of the Modern Democratic Party, Prince Bukunmi Olagbegi has called on the Lagos State Government to curb the menace of street begging before it gets out of hand.

In a tweet posted via his official twitter handle, @bkolagbegi, he lamented that the beggars are at every traffic intersection in the state.

“Lagos state government needs to curb the beggars especially the young boys at every traffic intersection, matter of time before they start robbing as they grow older. The current harassment is a lot,” he tweeted.

Other Twitter users replied under Olagbegi’s tweet supporting his opinion.

@semasir tweeted: “Very close to the Secretariat at Alausa, there is a lady always begging (she has some deformaties) just as you have them plenty at Shoprite too and another almost opposite Magodo with kids. So tiring seeing them always.”

@ayatsava tweeted: “Yeah agreed.i see no need why a physically fit person should beg for arms why he or she is agile and can do something with their hands.”
