Amotekun: FG And South West Governors Reach Compromise

The Federal Government and Governors of the South West region on Thursday, reached a compromise over the legalisation of the Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun).

Speaking to state house correspondents, Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, said that ghe controversy genetated from the launch of Amotekun was “needless” and all parties involved had reached a common ground.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s Special Adviser on Media, Laolu Akande, also confirmed the development via his verified Twitter handle.

Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, refused to comment on the resolution.
