Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has been granted a N10m Bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
An24.net earlier reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned the former Senator before Justice Inyang Ekwo on counts of bribery and advance free fraud.
Defense counsel, Ibrahim A. prayed the court to grant his client bail.
The EFCC sought time to consider the bail application as it had been served today.
Justice Inyang granted Sani bail, and dismissed the EFCC’s opposition to the bail application.
The Judge ordered him to produce a responsible citizen with a landed asset worth N10m as surety.
Sani was also ordered to deposit his passport with the court’s registry and directed to not travel out of the country without the court’s permission.
The matter was adjourned till February 24, 25 and 26.
