The Lagos State Government has announced road closures and alternative routes for commuters ahead of Saturday’s Marathon.
The closure between 6:30am and 1:30pm on Saturday would be for some locations in the State where the Access City Marathon is scheduled to hold.
The marathon would begin at Western Avenue, in front of the National Stadium Surulere and finish at the Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island.
Affected areas are Third Mainland Bridge, Osbourne road, Parkview and Lekki/Ikoyi link bridge.
Falomo roundabout inwards bourdillon and Akin Adesola street inwards Bar Beach will be closed temporarily.
The road access from Bonny Camp to Ozumba Mbadiwe Road will be diverted through Old Mr. Biggs junction to Kofo Abayomi Street.
Supermarkets and restaurants would remain open, however.
The State Government advised onlookers to be wary of pick-pockets, and to avoid crowded areas.
