Protesters gathered around the finishing line of the 2020 Lagos City Marathon at Eko Atlantic in Lagos State to protest the ban on motorcycle and tricycle operations.

They held placards with inscriptions showing their disgruntlements and calling for a revision to the ban.

Most of the placards had the hashtag #OccupyLagos, a trend which has been used on social media to question the ban.

Some placards read “Metropolitan not Trek-opolitan,” “Walk a mile in our shoes, it hurts,” “You owe us accountability,” “Fixed bad roads = less traffic.”
