The Senate on Tuesday suspended plenary in honour of late Senator Ignatius Longjan

Majority Leader, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi moved a motion for the suspension of Tuesday’s plenary and the motion was seconded by Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe.

Presiding over the Senate, Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege announced that Wednesday’s plenary would be dedicated to late Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu who died in December last year.

All senators are to dress in white or black.

Longjan died in a Turkish Hospital on Sunday.
