The Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday awarded the sum of N200,000 in damages against the Federal Government over the adjournment of the trail of #RevolutionNow Convener, Omoyele Sowore.
The Attorney General of the Federation had taken over of the case from the Department of State Services in December.
The prosecuting counsel from the office of the AGF, Mr. Kayode Alilu, asked for an adjournment to effect the amendment of the charges followed the taking over of the case from the DSS.
The judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, described the request for an adjournment as frivoluous and unneccessary.
Justice Ojukwu postponed the trial till Thursday and warned the prosecution that the trial would not continue if it fails to present evidence of the payment of the N200,000 to Sowore.
