Court Orders Arrest Of Dikko, Ex-DG, Customs

Daniel Ojukwu
The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the arrest of former Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abdullahi Dikko.
The warrant for his arrest was issued on Monday.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu issued the warrant for his continued failure to appear in court to answer charges of corruption levied against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC).
Dikko’s lawyer, Solomon Akuma (SAN), had argued that his client was ill and on admission in London.
He presented a medical report to justify his client’s absence.
