Man Arrested For Smuggling Hard Drugs To Son In EFCC Custody

A 60-year-old fish farmer, Muyiwa Otulayo, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Ibadan for attempting to smuggling hard drugs to his son in custody.

He arrived the EFCC zonal office on Monday to visit his son, Damilola.

During his visit, an officer noticed him handing over a sachet to his son.

On closer inspection, the EFCC’s nurse discovered it to be Rohypnol, a drug used under prescription for the treatment of severe insomnia and to aid in anaesthesia.

Damilola has been in the custody of the EFCC since a case of money laundering in the United Kingdom was reported against him.

He is currently wanted by London’s Metropolitan Police and the International Police.

His father, Muyiwa, was arrested at the office and would be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency according to the Commission.
