CAN Declares Jan. 21 National Day Of Prayers
The Christian Association of Nigeria has declared January 21 of every year as its day of national prayers for victims of Boko Haram and herdsmen attacks.
CAN President, Rev Samson Ayokunle, in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Adebayo Oladeji, said that the decision was taken in honour of the murdered CAN Chairman in the Michika Local Government of Adamawa State, Rev Lawan Andimi, and other persecuted Christians.

“I call on the body of Christ in the country, especially denominational leaders to reflect the date in their annual calendar of activities.
“The decision was taken on February 21 at the just-concluded meeting of the National Executive Committee at its National Secretariat in Abuja where they also confirmed Joseph Daramola as the substantive General Secretary and Biodun Sanyaolu as the Assistant General Secretary of CAN.”
