Alleged Fraud: EFCC Re-arraigns Former Governor Jang

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday re-arraigned a former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang over a case involving N6.3 billion alleged fraud in the state.

Jang alongside a former cashier in the Office of the Secretary to the state government, Yusuf Pam is being prosecuted by the EFCC on a 17-count charge, after the case was reassigned to a new judge, Justice Christy Dallup.

The accused were first arraigned in March 2018 before retired Justice Daniel Longji, who heard the case 34 times.

Justice Dabup allowed the defendants to continue with the N200m and 100m bail earlier granted the accused respectively by Justice Longji and adjourned the case until May 26, 27 and 28, 2020.
