Nigeria’s Economy Increased By 2.27% In 2019 — NBS.




Latest report from the the National Bureau of Statistics has shown that Nigeria’s economy grew by 2.27 percent in 2019.

The NBS, in the Gross Domestic Product report for the 2019 fiscal year released on Monday, said the annual GDP growth rate of 2.27 per cent represents an increase of 360 basis points over the growth rate of 1.91 per cent recorded in 2018.

The report said further that during the fourth quarter of 2019, Nigeria’s GDP grew by 2.55 per cent in real terms, which represents an increase of 0.17 percentage points and an increase of 0.27 percentage points when compared with the third quarter of 2019.
