BREAKING: Olisa Metuh Sentenced To Seven Years In Prison

The Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh to seven years in prison.
The court also ordered the winding up of the ex-spokesman’s firm, Destra Investments
Delivering judgment during the proceedings which lasted over six hours, Justice Okon Abang convicted Metuh on all the seven counts he was charged with by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Justice Abang convicted Metuh for fraudulently receiving the sum of N400m from the Office of the National Security Adviser in November 2014 and for transacting with a cash sum of $2m without going through a financial institution.
The judge also directed Metuh alongside his firm, Destra Investments to pay a fine of N375m and N25m to the Federal Government respectively.
