Tiamiyu Kazeem: IGP Orders Disbandment Of ZIS Ogun State

The Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu has announced the disbandment of the Zonal Intervention Squad, Ogun state, following the murder of a Remo Stars Football Club player, Kazeem Tiyamiyu.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department, Force Headquarters, Peter Ogunyonwo made this known during a condolence visit to the parents of the deceased.
Ogunyonwo was accompanied by the state Governor, Dapo Abiodun, where he disclosed that a police inspector indicted in the case had also been dismissed, while other officers have been arrested and were under investigation.
He assured the police would do everything possible to purge itself of “trigger-happy elements”.
