The Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, on Thursday countered the Senate’s claim that there were no proper screening measures put in place at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
In a series of tweets, Ogunlesi termed Senate members as “people with the oversight functions” when they could contact government agencies to find out the efforts being put in place by the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
He tweeted: “What may actually be frightening is when the people with the oversight functions are lamenting like ordinary people when they could be getting in touch with @mohnigeria @NCDCgov @FAAN_Official etc to find out what’s actually going on.”
Ogunlesi also blasted the Peoples Democratic Party for berating Buhari for his “negligence towards the prevention of coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria.”
He wrote: “These ones always off-key. No sense yesterday, today and forevermore.”
